A docket is the court's working calendar and event log. The main public channel is the Colorado Judicial Branch docket search. It is a free public tool for docket lists, not a case-document download site. The form notice says users may use fields to find a list of dockets, but at least one filter in addition to date is required. Municipal Court Dockets in Grand County
Not every local citation belongs in a Grand County state court docket. Fraser and Winter Park operate a Combined Municipal Court by intergovernmental agreement. The municipal court hears traffic, parking, animal, and other municipal code violations and does not hear civil or felony cases. Winter Park's court information says Municipal Court is held on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in Winter Park Town Hall at 50 Vasquez Road, and the court office can be reached at 970-722-7779 during weekday business hours.
The Fraser/Winter Park citation payment page says that online payment is for Fraser/Winter Park Municipal Court citations only and warns that Grand County Court citations are excluded. Granby also has separate citation payment channels by online payment, phone, in-person payment, drop box, or mail. Those municipal channels can affect docket lookup because a municipal ticket, a state traffic ticket, and a county criminal traffic case may not follow the same payment or appearance path.
Docket vs. Full Case Record
Grand County court dockets and Grand County court records overlap, but they are not the same item. A docket is a calendar and event list. A case record is the broader file that may contain pleadings, motions, exhibits, orders, judgments, sentencing papers, and certified copies. Read Grand County Court Dockets
A Grand County docket entry should be read with the case class, court type, and event type in mind. Party searches can return more than one person with similar names, and attorney searches can return multiple settings across a date range. For criminal cases, a docket may list charges or dispositions, but the full criminal case record should be requested when the outcome matters. For juvenile, sealed, suppressed, mental-health, or protected probate matters, public docket access may be limited or unavailable.
When a docket entry raises a document question, use the Judicial Branch record/document request form or call the Clerk of Court. When a docket entry raises a sheriff, custody, or criminal justice records question, use Grand County Sheriff's Records Management instead.
